Vietnamese Population in the United States
This map1 shows the percentages of Vietnamese in the United States in 2000. The Vietnamese tried to disperse themselves after coming to the United States after the war. Many of them immigrated to the U.S as refugees during the Vietnam War. They came to the United States for work and hoping for a better life. However, there is a larger Vietnamese population in California than any other state. Little Saigon in Orange County shows the large Vietnamese population. Washington also is seen to have a large Vietnamese population. States such as Montana and Nevada have a very small Vietnamese population.
