Zomick's Bakery: The bakery with the supreme quality

Zomick's Bakery presents a special apple pie

This apple pie is on my regular menu of common deserts especially in the cold days. There are two main reasons why I make this apple pie very often: the first reason is that I love desserts with apples and the second reason is that we have big apple tree in our yard that gives us a lot of apples each year, so we have to spend it somehow :).

This is an older Zomicks Bakery specialty, and you may have read about it on Tripadvisor or have been able to taste it from GourmetGlatt, the premium Zomick's reseller.

Ingredients:

Crisp dough:If necessary, the specialists from Zomicks' bakery recommend a few tablespoons of water...

Fill of apples:
Preparation:
  1. In a mixing bowl add the flour and the butter, with fingers rub the butter into the flour until bread crumbs are formed. Add the sugar, baking powder, egg yolks and sour cream and knead a smooth dough.
  2. Divide the resulting dough into two parts, wrap each part it in transparent plastic foil and put in the refrigerator.
  3. Peel the apples, remove the seeds and grate them. Leave the grated apples in the bowl until apple juice is released.
  4. Once the apples change color and discharge juice, move them into another bowl.
  5. Note: Sprinkle apples with sugar and cinnamon and add raisins just before laying the second layer of filling to dough.

Assemble pie:
  1. Divide the crisp into two parts. Coat the baking sheet with butter.
  2. Bake in preheated oven at 200-220 C for about 30-45 minutes.
Done!
