Wine and winery

Sonoma County Area

Sonoma County was a big area for winery's in the past and it is the same today. The county has been making wine from the 1870s thought the 1990s. The winery's and vineyards pride themselves on the history of the land and how they are working on grapes that are native to United States.
Sonoma County and other winery did not wait for the Gold Rush, through it happen in the same transformation. The Earlier settler in the north used Sonoma County as an example to create their own vineyards. A young Hungarian man by the name of Agoston Haraszthy was given the credit as a pioneer of California winegrowing. He started by looking at the fog in the peninsula made his land, the Crystal Springs property unsuitable for grape wine. He started looking around for another land, founding it north, outside the town of Sonoma, where Vallejo, who had grapes growing was built.
