Thanks for your patience during our recent outage at scalar.usc.edu. While Scalar content is loading normally now, saving is still slow, and Scalar's 'additional metadata' features have been disabled, which may interfere with features like timelines and maps that depend on metadata. This also means that saving a page or media item will remove its additional metadata. If this occurs, you can use the 'All versions' link at the bottom of the page to restore the earlier version. We are continuing to troubleshoot, and will provide further updates as needed. Note that this only affects Scalar projects at scalar.usc.edu, and not those hosted elsewhere.

In order to do so, students must receive approval from the instructor. Students must have prior approval from the chair of the major department to count the course for undergraduate credit or audit the course. The student’s major department will notify the Registrar One Stop Center regarding the manner in which the graduate course will be used. In no case will a student be allowed to enroll in and receive credit for a graduate course if the student’s cumulative USC GPA is below 2.0. Additionally, 500/600 level course already applied to a students undergraduate program cannot be changed to their graduate program.
HOWEVER, if they wish to take a grad course and RESERVE it for grad credit, they must either be in PDP or follow the guidelines below:
If a student has not yet been admitted to the progressive degree program, they must follow the standard policy for taking graduate-level coursework for graduate credit:
Have a 3.00 cumulative GPA or above
Be within 12 semester units of completing the bachelor’s degree
