While Scalar content is loading normally now, saving is still slow, and Scalar's 'additional metadata' features have been disabled, which may interfere with features like timelines and maps that depend on metadata. This also means that saving a page or media item will remove its additional metadata. If this occurs, you can use the 'All versions' link at the bottom of the page to restore the earlier version. We are continuing to troubleshoot, and will provide further updates as needed. Note that this only affects Scalar projects at scalar.usc.edu, and not those hosted elsewhere.

First Deadline: Tuesday, February 25, 2025
Final Deadline: Monday, May 5, 2025
Application Timeline
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, year-round. Completed applications received by the priority deadline will be reviewed and issued a decision within 4 weeks of that deadline. If you are hoping to take 500 level courses in the term following your application then you are advised to submit by the first deadline. Complete applications submitted by the final deadline will receive decision notification within 8 weeks.
Please note:
If you are in your final undergraduate term you must apply by the first deadline in order to have your application reviewed and processed prior to undergraduate degree conferral.
If you apply during the summer term your application will be reviewed and processed with the applications that are submitted by the subsequent Fall (September) deadline.
