MY FRIENDS

We all try to live life to its fullest,
But we never fully can.
Something will always hold us back.
A regret,
A mistake,
An inner demon.
Oh, my favorite friends.
My very flawed friends.
How I love you all.
You tell me you’ve made mistakes.
You have regrets.
You’re haunted by your inner demons.
But I just want you all to know,
No matter what,
I will always have faith in you.
I will always believe you.
I will always love you.
Past, present, and future.
Until the end, my friends.
Until the end.
Sara Rollins is a junior pursuing a Baccalaureate in International Studies with minors in History and English. She also has a huge interest in video games and was inspired by the gorgeous game, Spiritfarer, to write this poem, and to remind the audience that they are loved, and will always be loved, in this tragically wild life.
