Dr. Chen was a leading scholar in the study of Chinese education and communism during the Cold War in the United States. The publications on display highlight Dr. Chen's extensive scholarship in these areas.

Dr. Chen advised numerous master’s theses and doctoral dissertations during his tenure. The titles displayed here were written in the 1950s, one by his wife Wen-Hui C. Chen.
