The Split Bean is an 'idea;' cafe space which aims to improve the quality of life of visitors in the physical, psychological, social and environmental domains. The cafe acts as a space for visitors to indulge in and interact with, which is expected to improve the quality of life of frequent visitors. The idea of creating this cafe is to experiment the various ways of using the booming coffee culture to bring in growth and development as a whole. The cafe has been equipped with a variety of features and amenities as per the common preferences and likes of cafe visitors. The design has made inferences from the cafe's where the initial data collection was conducted and also has used various references from varied design ideas available online.
FOCUS AREAS
Split Bean offers a very healthy food menu to pick from. It offers soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, organic teas and coffees, smoothies and certain health drinks. It aims to offer a balanced meal to the consumers as it helps maintain the physical health.
Learning, re-learning and de-learning through dialogue and observation is key for advancement. It fosters a sense of love and belonging which taps on to the development of the psychological self. The cafe acts as a platform for building and broadening oneself.
The space of the cafe brings in various elements of social interactions through forming connections and enabling communications among visitors. This multiplies the sociability of the visitors increasing the performativity.
The ambiance of the cafe creates an atmosphere of peace and calm to make visitors feel home and develop a relationship with the place. This is to allow environment to act as a stimulator for progress.
