Thanks for your patience during our recent outage at scalar.usc.edu. While Scalar content is loading normally now, saving is still slow, and Scalar's 'additional metadata' features have been disabled, which may interfere with features like timelines and maps that depend on metadata. This also means that saving a page or media item will remove its additional metadata. If this occurs, you can use the 'All versions' link at the bottom of the page to restore the earlier version. We are continuing to troubleshoot, and will provide further updates as needed. Note that this only affects Scalar projects at scalar.usc.edu, and not those hosted elsewhere.

Urban Farm and Garden Alliance Signs
12016-07-05T21:49:25-07:00Sustainability@Hamline53a66acd31006d343906ce1a4c7df8af8da2d56b84126Process on sign project for the Urban Farm and Garden Alliance, summer 2016plain2016-08-09T15:36:30-07:00Elise Hanson69b07dba2ffd57c55c5e059acee8ec4532892456Kit for making some prototype garden signs for the Urban Farm and Garden Alliance.
Prototype goal: to develop some overview possibilities along with some components that could be played with by people at the 7/12 Alliance visioning session (along with a collection of sign / tour guide examples that we've compiled)
1. We're building on what we've heard from the Urban Farm and Garden Alliance, showing a map of the whole alliance (in a format conducive to walking tours), sharing the story of the alliance, and also highlighting each garden's story / pictures.
2. We're also building on the template of the Lovejoy posters built in Fernando Burga's class. There were some other great poster models too -- although we probably need to get down to one "page" that can be printed at poster size on outdoor material with grommets to be able to be hung at all the gardens
3. And while we're at it, we're assembling a tour of the other learning gardens we're involved with that we're working to have been Alliance ally gardens. [Snelling ave stuff here... ] plus reading list, like this stuff:
