Whistle Blowing is an Act of Political Resistance

Summary of manifestos

The video above is a general summarization of the two manifestos that Edward Snowden has written thus far. The two manifestos written by Snowden are great examples of what a manifesto is ended to be used for. It is not a politically motivated act, it is not an act to attempt to persuade anyone to join a group or what have you. These two manifestos purpose is to inform the public and to remind them what being a citizen entails.

The second manifesto written in 2016 titled "Whistleblowing Is Not Just Leaking - It's an Act of Political Resistance" is less effective than the first one titled "A Manifesto for the Truth". The reason is because A Manifesto for the Trust is short and gets the message across almost immediately, Whereas the second manifesto dives more into the details of whistleblowing and so forth. This can cause the audience to loose interest in the manifesto and skip it all together.
