Whistle Blowing is an Act of Political Resistance

Table of Contents/Introduction

This Scalar project is aimed to give a brief introduction into what a manifesto is, as well as how it is perceived in today's society. Given the introduction of what a manifesto is, this project will be focusing on summarizing and analyzing a manifesto written by Edward Snowden (who is a former CIA employee and a well known whistleblower) in 2013 titled "A Manifesto for the Truth". Snowden has written another manifesto since writing the one in 2013. The second manifesto he wrote in 2016 is titled "Whistleblowing is Not Just Leaking - It's an act of political resistance" which didn't get nearly as much attention or care as the first one. One reason for that could be because it is incredibly long, or just that people don't bother reading manifestos anymore and they just wait for Facebook status updates or tweets.
