(Highlight) Reflectance Transformation Imaging (RTI):
RTI images are created from multiple photographs of a subject shot from a stationary camera position. In each photograph, light is projected from measured points and reflected back with a black sphere. There are two types of RTI, dome RTI and highlight RTI. 

Renaissance:
A French term meaning 'rebirth' and applied to a revival of the arts and education based on classical antiquity in the mid-fourteenth through the mid-sixteenth century. The term marks a transition from the Gothic period of the Middle Ages
 
Romanesque:
The term Romanesque is applied to architecture and visual arts of the late eleventh and twelfth centuries that conform to principles and styles drawn from ancient Rome. Romanesque art promoted an interest in the human figure that was mainly decorative and a taste for the humorous and grotesque. Decorated initials were also common during this period.
 
Rubric:
A title, chapter heading, or instruction that helps identify the components of a manuscript. Red ink was often used to distinguish such elements, hence the term, which comes from the Latin for red, rubrica.
 
Ruling:
The process by which a frame or horizontal lines are produced to guide the hand in writing; the word also refers to the linear guide that is produced by this process. Ruling was guided by pricking
