She is tasked with training new employees and with dismantling equipment. She was among the first group of people from RDM to travel to Vermont for training at the facility there.

Lydia coordinates when work at the factory begins. She also has responsibilities related to worker safety and training. The training Lydia offers varies considerably in complexity and time required. For some basic tasks, training might last one day. But other tasks in the factory are more complex and require more time to learn. More complex tasks include learning how to dismantle particular types of equipment and recognizing their components and materials so that they can be sorted appropriately. Proper dismantling and sorting are crucial for generating economic value from the equipment.
