Description:
The Molly Maguire Historical Park is visible from the main street in Mahanoy City, however, the main figure of a coal miner with a bag over his head and being hanged is only visible once you enter the park space. There are three plaques that describe the dedication of the park and a brief chronology of the Molly Maguires. Facing away from the figure of the hanged coal miner are three plaques that describe the hangings and list the names of people who were hanged. While reading the plaques across from the figure, the reflection of the plaques casts the image of the hanged miner.
