Years of Operation: 1906-1907
Total Production (Tons): No records of coal shipments.
The Sexto mine was opened just west of the Primero operation in 1906, but was quickly abandoned less than a year later. The limited amount of coal that was produced at Sexto was was processed through the Primero tipple, and separate production records were not kept. Author H. Lee Scamehorn lists a Colorado Supply Co. store at Sexto in 1906 and being closed in 1907, which must have been severely limited in its offerings due to its close proximity to Primero. No mine superintendent is listed but it was probably William Morgan, who was also the Superintendent at Primero.
