Elemental HERO The Shining is technically a member of two different HERO archetypes: Elemental HERO and Omni HERO. The Omni HEROs are an unofficial archetype of Elemental HERO fusion monsters that require more general material than other Elemental HEROs. The material for The Shining is one Elemental HERO and one Light monster. This allows for the card to be teched into non-HERO decks that play light monster and one main deck Elemental HERO. The Shining is particularly cool looking due to the halo behind him, the simplicity of the armor, and the simplicity of the color scheme.

Elemental HERO Honest Neos
3
Elemental HERO Honest Neos is a strange card. It is never summoned to the field, and is only used for his effect to enable OTKs. So a few of the other cards on this list are known as beaters. Honest Neos is not a beater, but it makes every other HERO you control a potential beater. Basically you can discard Honest Neos from your hand to increase one of your other HERO's attack by 2500. This allows you to defeat almost any monster in battle which helps you perform OTKs. Other than that Honest Neos has no purpose. His design is very cool however. He is based off of another Elemental HERO named Elemental HERO Neos. Neos had a cool design already with red and blue stripes on his all white body, but then they added angel wings with a gold trim and allowed him to fly. I don't believe any further explanation is necessary.

Elemental HERO Solid Soldier
2
Elemental Solid Soldier came out at around the same time as Xtra HERO Dread Decimator and Xtra HERO Wonder Driver. He is a main deck monster that has two abilities. The first allows you to special summon another HERO from your hand when he is normal summoned. The second allows him to special summon a HERO from the graveyard if he is sent from the field to the grave by a spell effect. Luckily all of the HERO fusion monster must be made by using a spell card, and most of them require 2 monster. So Solid Soldier can make a fusion monster by himself basically, and then he replaces himself with another monster. The best part of Solid Soldiers design are the diamond picks on his hands. They are a weird icy blue and that color is not used often which is why he looks so striking to me.

Elemental HERO Stratos
2
Elemental HEROs are the original archetype that launched the rest of the HERO sub-archetypes. Elemental HERO Stratos however was not a part of the original line of monsters, and was released later on, Elemental HERO Stratos is known as a searcher which means he is used to search for cards in your deck and add them to your hand. Stratos is considered the best main deck HERO due to his ability to add any HERO to your hand from the deck. Stratos is the card that allows the modern HERO deck to perform well because it allows you to play all of the sub-archetypes together. Stratos looks good to me primarily due to his pose. It really feels like he is flight and the metal wings give a sense of speed and power. Additionally the card is a wind attribute, which is usually associated with green, but Stratos is primarily blue which makes him stand out.

Elemental HERO Absolute Zero
2
Elemental HERO Absolute Zero is the best Elemental HERO fusion monster in the game. He is part of a non official sub-archetype of HEROs called Omni HEROs. Omni HEROs allow for a lot more play in decks that are not entirely made of HEROs. Absolute Zero is the best of the Omni HEROs because it is the most general of the Omni HEROs. This is because his requirements are one HERO and one water monster. The other Omni HEROs all require one Elemental HERO and one monster of the required attribute. Absolute Zero can use any monster from any of the HERO archetypes which makes it more versatile. Additionally when it leaves the field in any way it destroys all monsters that the opponent controls. This is a great effect because you can use it as the material for any of the other Omni HEROs since they all require a n Elemental HERO. Absolute Zero looks very cool as well. As per his name he is made of ice, which means that he should be very icy. His design reflects this with a lot of white and icy blue. He also has a lot of very sharp edges that could be seen as icicles or glaciers.

Elemental HERO Blazeman
2
Elemental HERO Blazeman used to be one of the best monsters to play in a HERO deck. He sends a HERO to the grave to take its name and attribute. This is good when trying to fuse which is exactly what the deck wants to do. Unfortunately Vision HERO Vyon, another card on this list, now does the same thing without the restriction of only being able to summon fusion monsters. So unfortunately Blazeman see's almost zero play in modern Yugioh. With that being said he is still a great looking card. He has a cool balance of orange and white on his armor. Some very nice fire effects on his head. Then my favorite part are the little fireballs on strings that float behind him just have a very cool look to them.

Elemental HERO Bubbleman
2
Elemental HERO Bubbleman is one of the original 5 Elemental HEROs that were introduced when the cards came out. The original 5 were all based around different attributes, and different American Superheros. Bubbleman was the water attribute HERO and he was actually based off of Batman and similar cowled superheros. This inspiration is also where the name of the archetype came from, they were literally superheros that were given an element. Bubbleman was given the only effect out the first five , and that effect was to special summon himself from your hand if you control no cards. If you do this then you got to draw two cards. This made it an early staple in the deck since it was the best card to just keep in hand. Bubbleman's design is very cool. He has water tanks on his back and bubble cannon on his arm. He features a lot of large round features to his armor which makes it appear to look like bubbles.

Elemental HERO Captain Gold
2
Elemental HERO Captain Gold is one of the original Elemental HEROs that were released. Captain Gold is a very strange card. It is known as a searcher which means it adds a card from deck to hand. Captain gold can only add the HERO's field spell called "Skyscraper" so he is not very useful already. Additionally, if he is face up on the field and Skyscraper is not on the field he destroys himself. However, he is still one of the best looking HEROs ever made. His helmet has horns on it which resembles a Norse aesthetic. Additionally he has a very simple color scheme that blends together very well to create a great looking useless monster.

2
Elemental HERO Great Tornado is a member of the unofficial sub-archetype called Omni HEROs. Omni HEROs opened the HERO archetype up to play in other decks since his requirements are only one Elemental HERO and one wind attribute monster. He also has a really great effect for breaking boards. When he is summoned you cut all of the attack's of your opponent's monsters. This basically means that he will be able to attack and defeat any monster because of his high attack. Great Tornado's design is really cool as well. To start he has a really cool cape that makes him look like a wandering hero in the wild west. Then he has the large arm guard and braces. To go with the green and yellow color scheme really bring the design home.

Masked HERO Dark Law
5
Masked HERO Dark Law is a member of the Masked HERO archetype which is made up entirely of fusion monsters. To make the Masked HEROs you must use another card on this list called Mask Change. To do this you send one HERO you control and send it to the graveyard, then you special summon one Masked HERO of the same attribute from the extra deck. Masked HERO Dark Law has a constant effect which forces all of your opponents cards to be banished if they would be sent to the grave. This effect is considered the best effect in the entire HERO archetype due to the fact that none of your opponents effects that would activate in the graveyard can activate which stops many different strategies. What I like the most about all the Masked HEROs is that they all resemble Kamen Riders and have similar armor. Dark Law is specifically appealing because of his armor theme The armor is meant to resemble a lion which you can see in the mask, the chest plate, and the shoulder pauldrons.

To do this you send one HERO you control and send it to the graveyard, then you special summon one Masked HERO of the same attribute from the extra deck. Masked HERO Vapor has a constant effect which allows it to not be destroyed by card effects. What I like the most about all the Masked HEROs is that they all resemble Kamen Riders and have similar armor. Vapor is specifically appealing because of his mask and weapon. The weapon makes me think of a trident, and the mask is meant to resemble an elephant which reminds me of one of the spirit rangers from Power Rangers: Jungle Fury.

Masked HERO Goka
3
Masked HERO Goka is the only fire Masked HERO monster. Along with Earth and Light this is the only attribute that doesn't have two members in the Masked HERO sub-archetype. Goka is not a card that see's much play in modern HERO decks primarily because the only way to summon him is to tribute a fire HERO. There is only one fire HERO that is semi-decent and that is Elemental HERO Blazeman, who is also on this list. Blazeman shares a similar effect to Vision HERO Vyon, yet another card on this list, but Vyon's is unrestricted so you just play him instead. Still Goka is one of the best looking HEROs in the game solely based off or his armor design. The first thing to mention is his belt buckle which says "Fire" in Chinese/Japanese characters. The second are his shoulder pauldrons which resemble a fire themselves with multiple rounded points on each side. Then of course the large amount of red gives the card a sort of power just in color.

Masked HERO Acid
2
Masked HERO Acid is one of the best Masked HEROs in the game. He doesn't see much play in Yugioh currently, because the only good water attribute HERO main deck monster is Elemental HERO Bubbleman (another card on this list). Bubbleman does not see much play seeing as how he doesn't help the strategy except for one interesting combo. The combo requires Elemental HERO Bubbleman, Elemental HERO Absolute Zero, and Masked HERO Acid. You can make Absolute Zero using Bubbleman from the hand. Then you use a change quick-play spell card on Absolute Zero to make Acid. When Absolute Zero leaves the field it destroys all monsters your opponent controls, and when Acid is summoned you destroy your opponents back row. So you completely wipe your opponents field using Acid which is awesome. Acid is my favorite Masked HERO solely because of his card art. His belt buckle, chest plate, and helmet are meant to resemble the Japanese Kanji for water, which is fitting since he is a water attribute. The far shoulder pauldron has a very cool tower design. Lastly, he is stanced up like Han Solo from Star Wars which makes him infinitely cooler than the other HEROs.

Vision HERO Trinity
2
Vision HERO Trinity was one of the first Vision HEROs released. Trinity is known as a beater. Beaters are monsters that are only used to attack with big monsters in an attempt to OTK. Trinity is extremely efficient at this considering his effect. Trinity doubles his original attack (2500) on the turn he is summoned. Also, he can attack up to three times, but he cannot attack directly. This means that if you can make Trinity and your opponent has three or more monsters you just win. It also works in tandem very well with another card on this list named Elemental HERO Honest Neos. Using Honest Neon Trinity's attack becomes 7500 which allows him to OTK even easier. Part of what makes Trinity look so cool is the sense of power you see when looking at the art. The rocks coming off the ground, the pose, and the size of him make him seem like a force to be reckoned with. The powerful red assists with making Trinity look like an absolute powerhouse.

Masked HERO Blast
2
Masked HERO Blast is an excellent in theme card for the archetype that it is in. Blast see's some play in modern Yugioh due to the fact that Elemental HERO Stratos, another card on this list, also see's a lot of play. Being able to take Stratos off of the field by making Blast can be very beneficial against certain match ups. This is because Blast has two effects. The first reduces a monsters attack by half. Against beaters this is very useful. The other effect allows you to pay 500 life points to return a spell card your opponent controls to their hand. This effect is amazing because your total life points are 8000 so you essentially get to do this for free. Also it is some of the only back row removal in the deck which is very beneficial. Blast has a very interesting design . He doesn't have a solid color scheme or flashy armor. But he does have an interesting pose and background that make it seem like Blast is controlling a storm, which makes sense with his wind attribute.

Masked HERO Dian
2
Masked HERO Dian is the only Earth attribute Masked HERO card. With Fire and Light being the only other two. Dian is also unique in another way, and that is that she is the only confirmed female Masked HERO in the game. Being the only female Masked HERO it is nice that she is played in pretty much every mainstream HERO deck. This is due to the fact that Elemental HERO Solid Soldier, another card on this list, is a great card that is played in HERO decks. Dian is played for her really great effect. When she defeats an enemy monster and sends it to the graveyard, you can special summon a HERO from the deck. Special Summoning directly from the deck in Yugioh is extremely powerful because you don't have to waste a resource adding it to your hand or to summon it. It also helps that her card art is fantastic. She shares a similar theme with other Earth HEROs where they have diamond worked into their design. She has some flashy heels, a chest piece made out of diamond, and the coolest helmet of all the Masked HEROs

Vision HERO Adoration
2
Vision HERO Adoration was one of the first Vision HEROs that were released. While he doesn't do much he does help to enable an OTK. Adoration has the ability to reduce an opponents monsters attack equal to the attack to another HERO you control. This means that you could reduce an opponents monsters attack so that you deal more damage and defeat them faster. Adoration's design is very interesting because he doesn't resemble a lot of the other Vision HEROs. However, the plates on his legs, the purple/black color scheme throughout, and the floating ribbons coming off his clothing really make him look powerful and intimidating.
