It's HERO Time: The Best Looking HERO Cards in Yu-Gi-Oh

Vision HEROs

Vision HEROs were originally released in 2011 along side the Masked HEROs and recieved multiple waves of support later on. Vision HEROs are extremely similar to the Masked HEROs in terms of origin. In the Yu-Gi-Oh GX Manga the rival to the main protagonist copied the main protagonist's deck. After beating the main character, the main character revised his deck to make it his own and added Masked HEROs. The reverse thing happens with the rival who makes his deck his own by adding Vision HEROs to his deck.

The Vision HEROs have a strange design theme, meaning that they don't really have one. Many of them do share a single Aperture-like lense in the middle of their face, and they have a more robotic design that the others. The name for the archetype actually comes from their effect, and how they are visualized in the Manga. When you take battle damage you can set them in the spell and trap zone as traps. When they are in this zone they were referred to as Visions, and hence the name was made. Interestingly enough the older monsters of the archetype do not have this effect to place themselves in the spell and trap zone.

The main strategy of the Vision HERO strategy is to make a large fusion monster from the extra deck and allow it to be killed so that you take damage. Then you set them all from the graveyard. Now you only have to summon one monster to get all of their effects off. By tributing one HERO you summon another one. Then you do it again to completely decimate your opponents field.

There were originally four members of the archetype all printed at seperate times, before a large amount of support came out in late 2019. Their addition to a HERO deck allowed for more consistency and power in the deck.
