You can scroll or pinch to zoom the view, or click and hold to drag its contents around. Clicking any filled circle will reveal its connections; clicking again will hide them. Clicking an item's title opens the associated content (page or media file).
The table of contents itself can be set in the Book Properties tab of the dashboard.
