Goran Visnjic Switches the Production Shoot

After seeing many TV shows gather loyal followings and vanish only after one season, it was a real refreshing to see ‘Timeless’ escape from that very fate. The American science fiction drama deals with time travel, which makes things even more exciting. After the series unexpected cancellation, and the passionate surge of social media backlash from the show's loyal fans, we’re simply looking forward to another season of our favorite time travel show ‘Timeless’, which will premiere next year.

The season finale of 'Timeless' left fans with a shocking cliffhanger and desperate to see the whole situation resolved. After traveling through time to stop the Rittenhouse organization from changing history, Lucy returned to the present and discovered that her own mother is a part of the evil organization. Her complicated alliance with Garcia Flynn (Goran Visnjic) is also supposed to get resolved in the upcoming season.

As time goes by, the show’s dedicated fan base is anticipating to see how the show will approach its second season. For now, there are only 10 episodes ordered for season 2, which means it will definitely be a truncated season. Both series cast and creators are fine with this decision, emphasizing that shorter seasons have become sort of a norm in today’s TV landscape. Even more importantly, fans would rather have 10 new episodes than no episodes at all.

Through their Twitter accounts, the writers of the show announced that they’ll be going back to work soon enough, and confirmed that the shooting for the second season will start in November, with a premiere scheduled for 2018. The show stars, Goran Visnjic, Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, Malcolm Barrett and Rufus Carlin, will be switching the production shoot from Vancouver to Los Angeles, where ‘Timeless’ will receive nearly $10 million in tax credits thanks to the state’s film and TV tax credit program.
Even though there's no guarantee that the series ratings will improve, still ‘Timeless’ creators feel enthusiastic about Season 2. Throughout the first season, the series had a primo time slot right after The Voice, which seemingly guaranteed a boost of some kind, but later on turned out to be nothing more but a false consumption.
