Archibald Nye

Archibald Nye (April 23rd, 1895-- November 13th, 1967), a British Army Officer involved in correspondence with the French that General Alexander has arranged for greater cooperation between Leclerc and the Eighth Army during World War II. Nye was the Chief of Combined Operations and Commodore, promoted to vice-admiral in March of 1942, and he planned and organized the Raid at St. Nazaire in mid-1942 as well as pushed through the Dieppe Raid of August 19th, 1942 (Greer List of Correspondents).
