Other Composers & Conclusion
As presented by the evidence on previous pages, the influence of female Catholic composers on both sacred and secular composition cannot be ignored. Despite years of missing history, misattribution to male counterparts, and a stark disparity in opportunity, Catholic women were able to compose influential, innovative, and important sacred music in a culture that told them not to. These compositions are invaluable to the study of the development of Catholic music and composition as a whole, and should not be overlooked.
