That's wonderful! A family baking tradition spanning over a century is truly special. It's great that Ben is continuing the "American Pie" legacy. I love that the family sources ingredients locally, heading to orchards and farmer's markets. It sounds like they put a lot of care into their pies. Imagine the stories behind each recipe! My family isn't big on baking, but we do have a cherished recipe for a summer Sprunki punch we always make. Food traditions are the best!
