What draws me to environmental studies is food justice and environmental racism. I grew up in a small town an hour north of the cities that are an agricultural town. I lived on a farm an that's where I first got interested in the environment. The feeding a crowd class has taught me the importance of community as well as culture. Also how farming and food are central to many people's identity.
