Students were asked to create photos of their community on a blank piece of paper and put them on the white board. We surprised them with 2 large pieces of drywall and asked them to illustrate their original sketches and create a community mural. Some students drew their families, local stores, parks and beaches. Although each student was given a space to fill, many students collaborated on each other’s art.
