These students did an incredible job creating poems about their multiple identities. They were so excited after they created these they asked for us to read each one out aloud to the class and staff!

Student 1. Grade 4: I am Saimonnie/Samiah I’m from Belize. I’m a cheerleader 8, I’m crazy

I listen to my mommy & Daddy

You might not like me I’m the weirdest kid on the planet and no one is like me

But it does not matter because its my life you don’t run

Student 2. Grade 7: My identity is being a sports player and my gender is a boy. I am the most active person in the class.

Student 3 Grade 4:

My name is Dawn I am a black girl and I like playing, my tablet and doing cool experiments with stuff and I have three robotic pets and I come from the USA

Student Grade 6: Emily is a girl that is funny and that likes to play sports, her favorite is basketball and was born in Mexico
