Using Scalar Timeline

Creating a timeline from your content can be done using the Scalar Timeline widget. You can create a timeline as a standalone page or as a embedded feature.

You can put a timeline within a page using the "Insert Inline Scalar Widget" link.


Select the timeline widget and then use the dropdown to see all of your media files. You can select which items you want to be included on the timeline. The only requirement is that the item must have some date-related information in the "date" metadata field.



Once you have selected the items you want to visualize with a timeline, click "Continue". Next set how you want the timeline to display on the page and insert. And you have a timeline.
