Thanks for your patience during our recent outage at scalar.usc.edu. While Scalar content is loading normally now, saving is still slow, and Scalar's 'additional metadata' features have been disabled, which may interfere with features like timelines and maps that depend on metadata. This also means that saving a page or media item will remove its additional metadata. If this occurs, you can use the 'All versions' link at the bottom of the page to restore the earlier version. We are continuing to troubleshoot, and will provide further updates as needed. Note that this only affects Scalar projects at scalar.usc.edu, and not those hosted elsewhere.

The story revolves around the main character, Senku, who is a child genius. He believes that it is his duty to return the world to the way it was before the world was turned to stone. Senku is one of the first to wake up from the petrification and he begins to collect supplies to wake his other friends. He soon discovers that the solution to petrification was nitric acid. Their goal is to rebuild civilization with the main premise of science, as they believe science is what the world needs. The main antagonist to Senku and his friends is Tsukasa who believes the old world is beyond repair and he wants to establish a stone age order of power to the new world. These two clash constantly about how the new world should now be, one of science, or one similar to the old world.
