descriptiondcterms:descriptionA collection of video files documenting a player traversal of the Chrono Trigger Nintendo DS re-release
contentsioc:content
This traversal of Justin Fettig took place on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 in the MOVE lab at Washington State University of Vancouver. It is divided into two videos.

By traversing through the Nintendo Dual Screen re-release, we capture the experience of Chrono Trigger as it was intended for a later generation of North American gaming audiences. We witness the partial retranslation of the original Chrono Trigger script, conducted by Tom Slattery which attempted to minimize previous censorship and, in turn, make the North American re-release of Chrono Trigger more faithful to it's original Japanese construct. The preservation of previously added content in the form of animated cutscenes is seen as well. The experience of this version's significantly distinct dual screen and stylus controls are also captured.
