Profs. LaVallee and Spitzer tried to garner support from all who would listen following their dismissals. One of their strategies was to reach out to various committees and associations in hopes that someone would rule President Strand's actions unreasonable or illegal. They had very little success, but made enough noise that responses from these various organizations were requested by many, and published in a variety of forms.
