Where I'm From
Where I’m from it sounds like a wind chime,
It may not be pleasant but it’s a sound that you know all too well,
My home is where the president dwells.
This place is a place of community,
And to death and destruction, I have an immunity,
It’s so common that it doesn’t hurt anymore,
It’s oh so common, war.
This place is magical
The thoughts aren’t even tangible
You can see so many animals
And you can see the capital
This place hasn’t changed in my history
But it doesn’t really get to me
This is the place to disagree
Yes, I live in Washington DC
