Where I Live
Each house a family to keep safe under
Full of life with people moving so swiftly
But also calm were life seems relaxing.
My city has culture
My city has life
My city has much love
Where I live is filled with both happiness and anger.
Like a snap time moved instantly
Soon there were new and improved schools
Old ragged buildings torn
New expensive condos built
People moving in and out buildings and homes
As if they were going in and out metro trains
Petitions signed to end the destruction
Of neighbors hoping to end the obstruction.
My city is constantly changing
While I sit and realize
All this time, there always was
Beauty in the chaos
