Where I Live
Where I live the taste of mambo sauce is ours
It’s signature sauce its wonderful taste
This is one thing that makes my city great
But underneath this gilded city something lurks
Where I live gun violence is sort of a curse
I have lost some good friends dear to me
And also young ones of my age
Where i'm from I hope this will change
Where i am from the music is what shapes my city
The go-go which brings many together
Where I am from the great Chuck Brown
And marvin gaye blessed this city
From the ups and downs
The beauty and flaws
This city still belongs to me
