Connecting it all + Positives/Negatives

Throughout this chapter there were two different platforms mentioned that can seemingly be seen as different and unrelated. With the public sphere being a means of connection and communication through individuals, the two platforms connect in ways that may be seen with a common denominator. Both the church and hashtag Black Lives Matter contain positive and negative connotations with its name separately due to the public sphere surrounding it.
Dealing with the church the public sphere, in this piece being the actions and thoughts of the Christians being pinned onto the people not involved in the church, has mainly a negative connotation. This connotation comes from the judgment placed upon others from the Christians because their want/need to be perfect as described by the Lord. This negative view is coming from the opinion of others that do not see the reason of the judgment that the Christians only see as a means for helping or saving a soul of someone that is "lost" in their eyes. To those people, the Christians, it is a positive force behind their actions making the church to them have a connotation surrounding it.
Dealing with the Black Lives Matter Hashtag, being the opinions that are accumulated due to the power the hashtag holds, contains a negative connotation. When the hashtag is seen it is deemed as a act against all mankind when the original purpose was to also show the importance of any race that is not white to be important.
The comparison being made is not to confused as an opinion of who is right and wrong but simply to show that both social media along with the church give means for expression along with safety. Both platforms have negative connotations that arise when mentioned but single-handedly provides a means for expression whether it be political or religious with a certain level of safety being offered simultaneously.
