Is that what you said?”: The Rescue of Wonderland’s Alice in Batman Comics
I fell in love with Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland in my eighth-grade reading club. Recently, I have found myself drawn to his poems,“The Walrus & the Carpenter,” and “Jabberwocky;” even within these brief poems, Carroll transports the reader to a fantastical world. Within my own poem, “The Bellow of Bollycrook,” I have strived to incorporate the whimsical nature of his cautionary tales. I have also created my own mysterious beast, whilst incorporating the “sing-song” formation of Carroll’s poems.
