Part A:

Part B:

For my Easley design, I examined the fruit and vegetable information in the Illinois Agriculture magazine, since I have the brand Chiquita. By using the articles “Growing Success” and “Illinois Agriculture”, I pulled out key quotes and facts about production of fruits and vegetables in Illinois.

In the Illinois Agriculture article, it listed the top types of fruits and vegetables that are produced in Illinois, which I put at the top and used visuals for. I put the Illinois graphic in the middle to show what state all the facts and figures were representing. The three quotes that I pulled out of the “Growing Success” article represent how important Illinois is to the production of fruits and vegetables and how profitable it is for the farmers working.

Part C:

After reading Marion Nestle’s Safe Food, it talks a lot about how the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) suggests rules and guidelines for production of food within companies. The article talks about how food should be properly produced, handled, and sold. I think if the author were to see my infographic, she would want to me to add some statistics about the production of fruits and vegetables in Illinois, and how the safety is administered.
