The panel focused on the scholarship, contributions, and legacy of Dr. Chen to USC and the wider community.
The panelists included:
Li-Ping Chen, Dornsife Fellow in General Education, who spoke about Dr. Chen's educational activism and community leadership.
Stanley Rosen, Professor of Political Science at USC, who discussed Dr. Chen's scholarship and research.
Teresa Chi-ching Sun, a former colleague of Dr. Chen at USC, who highlighted Dr. Chen's contributions to the development of East Asian Studies during the Cold War.
Kenneth Klein, Head Emeritus of USC East Asian Library from 1983 to 2020, who talked about Dr. Chen's book donations and his contributions to USC's East Asian Library.
