The Art of Food in Frogtown and Rondo

Question 1: Share you name and what is your community food, and how does it represent you and your community?

Rice + Mustard green: Hmong people are tiny; that's how many of us brought mustard greens over from Laos -- you can bring it, and throw it on the sidewalk, and it will grow. My favorite is pickled mustard green.... when it's little baby, mustard green, you can make a salad out of it -- or a quick stir fry, and when it gets a little older, you can pickle or boil it.
It's a comfort for all of us, to eat mustard green. And when you talk to the elders, they like to boil it with the rice, and eat it with a little pepper on the side.
