Encoding a text that includes images involves two parts: 1) uploading the images to COVE so that they have a stable URL, and then 2) inserting the hosted image in FairCopy. Follow these steps to insert images:
2. Once you have logged in, click your name in the top right corner.
3.Click File Browser. 4. Click Upload. 5. Click Choose File and select the image file from your computer. Then click Upload. 6. Once your file has uploaded, it will be added to the list of files in your account. Click the name of the file to preview it in the pane below the file list. 7. Right click on the image preview and click Copy Image Address.
Part 2: Inserting Images in FairCopy
8. In your FairCopy text document, open the Element Palette and find the figure element under the Untitled Group in the element dropdown menu. 9.Drag and drop the figure element and place it directly to the right of a p element where you would like the image to display. (Adding the figure element automatically adds its two helper elements, graphic and desc, as well.) 10.In the text area, write alt text for the image. This is the text that describes the image for machine readers.
11.Click the graphic element to open the Element Inspector. In the URL field of the graphic element, paste the image address you copied earlier in Step 7. Then hit Enter on your keyboard to save the URL. 12. Repeat the steps for uploading an image and inserting an image in FairCopy for all images included in the text.
