Thanks for your patience during our recent outage at scalar.usc.edu. While Scalar content is loading normally now, saving is still slow, and Scalar's 'additional metadata' features have been disabled, which may interfere with features like timelines and maps that depend on metadata. This also means that saving a page or media item will remove its additional metadata. If this occurs, you can use the 'All versions' link at the bottom of the page to restore the earlier version. We are continuing to troubleshoot, and will provide further updates as needed. Note that this only affects Scalar projects at scalar.usc.edu, and not those hosted elsewhere.

This page features various wordclouds created based on the survey responses that illustrate the frequency of words in various responses (e.g. all men’s responses, all responses from the track teams) using Voyant Tools (http://voyant-tools.org). A description of each wordcloud with a link to the text that was used is available by selecting the images. This analysis of the text is not exclusive and instead serves as an example of the kind of information that can be derived from this online archive.
Our original intention in aggregating SAPAC materials was to provide the opportunity to analyze the rhetoric and language utilized in pedagogical efforts for sexual assault prevention. This collection of wordclouds reflects that original intention and, ideally, will spark interest and inspire further questions about the materials.
