Personal Bio
Sam Meurer is currently a senior undergraduate student at Arkansas State University where he is pursuing a bachelors degree in English and a certificate in Digital Humanities. Meurer is particularly interested in how digital writing influences our physical identities, how literary and writing scholarship intersects with the digital landscape, and how digital writing can be used to advocate for marginalized groups and educate the general public. This has led him to develop a deep interest in digital humanities. After graduation, Meurer will will be pursuing a M.A. in Rhetoric and Composition with a graduate certificate in Digital Humanities at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
Outside of academics, Sam Meurer is President of the Omicron Omega chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity, an American music fraternity. Meurer enjoys traveling, hiking, swimming, drinking coffee, and reading a good book when he gets the chance.
