For the context of the Resident Evil franchise, I want to discuss the storyline that is shown throughout the games. In the first game an operative team gets stuck fighting and trying to survive zombies and various other villainous creatures. The next game takes place in the Arkley mountains following a very similar concept investigating murders in the mountains. By the third game that's where the story picked up or really started according to ScreenRant, " The Spencer Mansion of Resident Evil is where everything really started, seeing STARS Alpha Team investigating the disappearance of Bravo, with Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine at the heart of everything." In this game they return back to the original mansion in the first game exploring the illegal experiments.
 
The next game involves the Racoon City incident which sets up everything that happens after. The games show this duo trying to survive this city overrun from zombies as well as other creatures. In this game it is revealed that the police were hiding Umbrellas experiments which caused the outbreak. The next game is a part two of the previous game however this game is set one before the events of the second game. Throughout this game you are being followed and pursed by a creature created by umbrella named Nemesis. Jill gets poisoned in the game by Nemesis and is trying to search for the vaccine. After being pursued throughout the entire game Jill finally puts an end to nemesis with a rail gun. The Vaccine gets destroyed and Jill and another character that helped here take down the boss escapes right before a missile strike levels racoon city ending the racoon city arc.Nemesis (Character) - Giant Bomb
