The Chocolate Swamp

Reeling from your failure at the last stop, something inside you tells you that you have one more chance to make things right. Suddenly you stop dead in your tracks, as you hear a bubbling noise. You try to pick your foot up but it's stuck, same with the other one. You're sinking. "What is that smell?" you ask yourself, the earth gurgles once more and a disgustingly syrupy voice replies. "It's chocolate my pet". You are drowning in chocolate and you quickly take a moment to curse yourself for all the times you ordered death by chocolate as a dessert. You are up to your knees by now and the voice makes itself know. "I am Gloppy, the chocolate monster of this swamp, and the resident evil being of Candyland". Now even you have to question that, "Chocolate is almost everyone's favorite type of candy" you yell, "so your whole argument and backstory don't make sense!" "You might think so" he replies "but less and less singers and musicians eat me because chocolate is bad for your voice". He's crying now, and you're mostly confused. "But Gloppy" you say as you attempt to console this chocolate creature "even though singers and musicians can't eat chocolate all the time they still like you". At this point you are up to your neck in chocolate and are praying for a miracle. It was then that, almost like a madman Gloppy's mood changed and he propelled you out of your chocolate grave. " You're right! People do still like me". And even though he tried to kill you, Gloppy's kindhearted smile drove you to smile too, and soon the two of you were singing a song together. Gloppy encouraged you to complete the final task in Candyland, notate this in an imitative counterpoint style based off of this song that I will sing for you. He began to sing an a mournful melody came out. You once again took out your trusty pencil and paper.
It was beautiful and through your own tears you managed to scribble down a harmonic line.

"You have notated all the songs in Candyland!" cries out a voice from the heavens, "Hurrah!" You cheer with them now, "Hurrah! Hurrah! Hurrah!" "AH!" You scream.
