Thanks for your patience during our recent outage at scalar.usc.edu. While Scalar content is loading normally now, saving is still slow, and Scalar's 'additional metadata' features have been disabled, which may interfere with features like timelines and maps that depend on metadata. This also means that saving a page or media item will remove its additional metadata. If this occurs, you can use the 'All versions' link at the bottom of the page to restore the earlier version. We are continuing to troubleshoot, and will provide further updates as needed. Note that this only affects Scalar projects at scalar.usc.edu, and not those hosted elsewhere.

Case required all second year students that are living in residential housing to be enrolled in a meal plan. Students who decide to continue to pay CWRU for housing are also required to pay the university for food. Second year students are given more options for meal plans than first year students even though first year students are required to live on campus (unless commuter students). The prices per meal for each plan are approximately :
Unlimited (@ 21 meals/week): $8.61
10 meals/week: $16.09
14 meals/week:$11.77
17 meals/week: $10.09
19 meals/week: $9.08
10 meals/week (Halal/Kosher): $15.84
14 meals/week (Halal/Kosher): $12.69
Students must purchase above 17 meals a week to have each meal cost less than $10. This is the general trend for all meal plans offered to all types of students. Halal and Kosher plans are also more expensive and offer less meals per week. It can also be observed that the less meal swipes that one would wish to purchase, the price increases exponentially per meal. It can be assumed that this is to attempt to influence students into purchasing more meals per week with the better pricing.
