Micro-Landscapes of the Anthropocene

Ec(H)ology - Week 2

Understanding natures relationship with humanity helps aid and embed a literal understanding of micro-landscapes and their potential meaning. When discussing the term ‘meaning’ in correlation with a natural landscape, one can only establish a connection between plant worlds and Ec(H)ology. The story regarding Echo, and the rejection of man, draws a substantial understanding to the connection that nature plays amongst the humanity. Whether this connection or relationship comes in the forms of love and beauty or even language or speech, natures adherence and bearing on human emotions perpetually identifies the certain calmness or hesitancy of a human’s actions when enduring micro-landscapes. The photo above identifies three different types of connection through the calmness and beauty of the light, to the tall deep-rooted trees stabilising the natural world around it. The beauty between both human connection and the natural landscape delves further into the relationship between man and nature and the ideology surrounding forms of rebirth or even reincarnation. Remember without beautiful forests or eco-systems which establish foundations for humanity, we will no longer have humanity!
