In places as Makoko every singular person have to create their opportunities. The Floating Education System is based and promotes this culture. Crowsourcing is the way to push the projects. The Floating School Network is the incubator for the Start-ups created by the Makokoans. Kickstarter is one of the ways to look for funds.  Makoko is part of the Global Entrepreneurship Network. In the past years, the were creating one global entrepreneurial ecosystem: The Startups Nations Summits.
The unemployment is a huge problem in Africa, especially in Nigeria. Entrepreneurship and Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are the solution, another way to create jobs and contribute to the overall economic growth of the continent. In Makoko exist the "Culture of  risktaking ". They are active and talent. They have a lot to contribute to the entire world.
Entrepreneurship culture needs special environments, not only economic necessitates. Creativity and innovation are the key, and undoubtedly Nigerians have them in their ADN. 
In Lagos the demography changes. In the last 20 years, the textile was the largest industry, one of the main source of jobs in Lagos. But that industry collapsed when China came into the country. Nowadays Tech and Makers communities are one of the important ways to earn money in Lagos.
