For my final research and critical analysis essay it focused mainly on how a specific social media platform such as Snapchat impacted the relationship between its users and others around them. The consequences of the app were because its users were on it too frequently that they became addicted to it in their own ways without realizing it. It appeared to be something normal to them. Snapchat effects many kinds of relationships, whether friendly or intimate either way they were still being affected and no one really did anything about it. The social media app could be used in many ways to manipulate its viewers with the help of its users. It could make its users be looked as posers for not being who they pretend to be on the app, these are only a few reasons of how Snapchat had a negative impacted on its users relationships. No one is truly safe being exposed to such an open type of social media without boundaries. I chose to do research and write about the negatives of Snapchat and how it affects one's relationship with one another. Many people today have Snapchat and I thought it would be an interesting idea to go more into what the big fuss was about. Since there was a lot to say about the good things of it I wondered why no one really went deeper into its ugly side. When I wrote this essay I wanted to discover what was Snapchats actual ugly side, how come it affected people's relationships and why those being affected did not seem to notice. My audience for this paper are those who are interested in unmasking Snapchat and relieving its true identity besides it only being ones pictures that they want others to see. My audience may or may not agree with my essay and say otherwise, that Snapchat really is a useful social media platform besides just selfies and filters but, to me there was more to it even if there were very few people that agreed. Maybe those who read my essay will change their minds and think a bit more when they post their next selfie. Many users may disagree since they have become so use to the idea of Snapchat replacing what they did before it but hopefully they will take my research into consideration. Hopefully its users begin to realize their mistakes and begin  to look up and actually talk to one another and have a meaningful conversation instead of just sending an image to replace the true meaning of an actual conversation.
