When I was first making my schedule for my very first semester of college I decided that I wanted to learn and take classes of all sort that interested me and would help me answer questions I have about the life. Looking at all my options there was a lot of different ones that looked interesting but there wasn’t one that grabbed my attention. Then, I noticed there was a specific class that focused mainly on social media and its affects on everyone in everyday life. In the beginning I was super excited to see what I was going to learn and if it was possible to change any of my opinions that I already had on technology and social media. Once class started it was exactly how I thought it would be. The professors spoke about things that I had no idea about, I focused on what part of a picture but never really noticed the big picture. I looked past things and just judged without taking into consideration what it did for and to others. This class helped me with understanding that there’s more to technology and the internet. There’s more to social media then just pictures and likes. The professors helped me to better understand what was really going on behind all that. At first I struggled to write my papers because I did not really know how to do research about topics that were trending which I did not know about since I do not have social media but that’s the main reason I decided to take this course I knew that it would help me understand why others were always so interested but I never was.
