Bombo

El Bombo es un tambor de forma cilindrica similar al tambor bajo de la bateria. Por lo general está hecho de árboles huecos y piel de animal para la cabeza del tambor produce un tono profundo y distintivo. El bombo se juega normalmente con tanto un mazo y el palo, que golpeó el borde de madera y la cabeza. The Bombo is a cylindrically shaped drum similar to a bass drum. It is usually made out of hollow trees and animal skin for the drum head, and it produces a deep and distinctive tone. The bombo is typically played with both a mallet and stick, which strike the wooden rim and the head. The bombo can be found in regions throughout South America, like what is now Ecuador, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Bolivia. The bombo has been used in music pertaining to Ecuadoran bomba and Argentinian folk music.
