At Hendon we saw 3 types of biplanes fly The large army plane shaped like a fish + all painted green took 1/2 an hour to start but flew well steered by Lieut Porter. Fine field + many buildings + a pavilion to take tea. Reached London after 58 mile ride at 7. Fine tar McAdam all the way + pretty rolling country. Our driver said his name was Mr. W. H. Butler Car No. 4974 Very careful + knew the country well. Had short dinner in Parlor
