Destiny HERO Diamond Dude

35985 Destiny HERO Diamond Dude used to be a very important part of the Destiny HERO strategy. You can look at the top card of your deck and if it is a spell you send it to the grave. Then during your next turn you can activate it. Destiny HEROs unlike the rest of the HERO sub archetypes didn't really revolve around the extra deck and fusion monsters. They revolved around a card called clock tower that had to remain on the field for a few turns before it allowed you to summon your boss monster. Clock tower was a spell so activating it is always good. There were also cards that would put more counters on the clock tower so that you didn't have to wait for as many turns. Now however the game would never allow you to play a card like that because it is too slow. So that makes Diamond Dude relatively useless. With that being said I believe he is the coolest looking Destiny HERO. He is dressed extremely casually compared to other HERO cards...except he has crystals coming out of his body in random places. He has a diamond visor, as well as a hand made of diamond. If his effect were any better I would absolutely play him if only so I could see the card art more often.

2. Destiny HERO Disk Commander Destiny HEROs were introduced shortly after the Elemental HEROs and were meant to be a rival to them. They have effects that revolve around them being in the graveyard. Disk Commander is an example of an effect like that. His effect is that if he is special summoned from the graveyard you can draw two cards. This effect used to be very strong, before they changed the text to have a restriction. Now the effect only applies if he is summoned on a turn that isn't the turn it was put in the graveyard. This "errata" has now made the card an extender card. If you manage to summon it on your second turn you put your self in a very good position with two more cards in hand. As for his design he is very silly. He launches discs from his suit which is pretty cool. He is comprised of cool grays and blues. The best part however is the cool electric background which adds a sense of power to the visual.

Destiny HEROs Destiny HEROs were the original counterpart to the quintesential Elemental HERO archetype. In the English dub of the anime they were used by Jayden Yuki's rival Aster Pheonix. The HERO cards were originally designed by his father, and the Destiny HEROs were his last creation before he was murdered. So after beating Jayden with his own deck he decides to make an even stronger deck based on the Destiny HERO archetype.

The Destiny HERO cards are meant to be based off of British urban legends. This can be fairly hard to tell just due to the fact that these legends are not well represented in pop culture. There are a few however where the inspiration in fairly obvious. Mainly the card based off of the Invisble Man, knwon as Destiny HERO Departed. In his card art he is seen as just a suit and tie floating on an invisible body.

The Destiny HEROs main goal in their playstyle is to summon Destiny HERO Dreadmaster by having a certain number of counters on their field spell Clock Tower. They mostly have effects that resolve in the graveyard, or when they are removed from the graveyard. For instance Destiny HERO Disc Commander allows you to draw two cards when it is special summoned from the graveyard. They recieved a few good fusion monsters which made their initial playstyle obsolete due to how much better they were.

The Destiny HEROs came out in two main waves. The second being constructed to aid what the people who were still playing Destiny HEROs were trying to do with the deck.
